Preserved treated sapwood or heart free fibre is used in exposed structures such as pergolas and decks and also sub structural applications for patios and decks in both residential and commercial applications. Chemically treated sapwood is extremely durable for such purposes for use in the cooler climates of the south to the sub tropical climates of the north.
