The Australian Sawmilling Company Pty Ltd (TASCO) was established in 1998, to process small radiata pine logs into timber for export to South Korea.

Unfortunate timing (Asian Economic Crisis) resulted in the company needing to alter its business focus from export to the domestic market. During the period from 1998 to current TASCO has been fortunate to build a reputation as a quality producer of sawn pine timber in the sawmilling industry.

On behalf of all the team at TASCO We wish to pass on our sincere gratitude to all who have played a part in the development of the company from inception in 1998 to what it is today.

TASCO has developed into an organisation that prides itself on its ability to produce high quality appearance grade timber products from a resource that was once considered only good for woodchip. Through the introduction of Finnish sawmilling technology never previously used in Australia, TASCO has been able to take a valuable plantation forest resource (previously exported) process, re-manufacture and sell the product in Australia.

At TASCO we pride ourselves on doing things a little differently and being willing to try new things.

The company believes, as supported by its parent DONGHWA HOLDINGS that it is our duty as corporate citizens to continue to develop new timber products for our customers and help to send out the message that “WOOD IS GOOD” and through educating, research and developing new applications for timber products help to create a cleaner, healthier and safer environment for the generations to come.
